Some Ways We serve
Where has the Lord given you to serve in His Kingdom? Serving, teaching, leading, evangelizing, shepherding, giving, showing mercy? If you are not sure yet, don't worry, that just means you need to experiment! One of our passions is helping people realize the roles for which God created them, and we want to help you find your place to serve in the Lord's church. Here are a just few of the ways you might be able to use your giftedness in service to the Lord and others.
Children's Ministry
Over the years our members have raised many children to know and love the Lord, and for us, "we have no greater joy than to hear that our children are walking in the truth." There are several opportunities to serve with the children. Bible class teachers are needed, as well as caring and capable volunteers during children's Bible hour. If you've got a strong desire to serve in this area, this is a place to serve.
If you are looking for a tangible way to get involved with not just our teens, but most of the teens in town, OVERTIME is a great place to serve. Our local Fort Cobb Broxton Mustangs boast one of the best basketball teams in the state, and we're glad to be able to host all of the Jr. High and High School kids after each Friday Night home game during the basketball season. If you want to make a difference for teens, come make a personal connection with them by volunteering to help host the event with us as we provide good food, fun games and a great place for teens to hangout.
Inner-City Mission of "Contact Church" in Tulsa

While some of us grew up in good homes with loving parents, that is sadly not the reality for many children in this world. These vicious cycles start young, but with time, energy, and mostly love, God can break these destructive cycles once and for all. This is the mission of contact church in Tulsa, to reach out to help those who need to feel the love of God through the patient serving hands of His people. This ministry is not for the faint of heart, but for those with a determination to love those who need it most with empathy and wisdom. Our annual mission trip to Contact is great place for our teens and adult volunteers to discover giftedness through serving together.
Food pantry

Jesus said "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me". We believe that God never promised us wealth, but what we need from day to day. As a result, we believe that whatever God has given us as a church family is not just for our personal enjoyment, but that God owns it and trusts us to use it to bless His world. If God cares about you, and wants what is best for your life, we do too. Brian McCullough, one of our deacons helps to lead this work of helping those in need.
Annual Christmas Blessing
The first or second Saturday of December we host one of our biggest service events of the year, and it takes all kinds of talents and talents to make it happen. Jesus said "It is more blessed to give than to receive," and the one who gave himself on a cross to die so that others might life just might know a thing or two about giving. Christmas time seems extra hard on those who have little, especially on those who are caring for others and are in need. For 14 years now, the church has pulled together our resources to share with those who need it in times when we can all become too focused on ourselves. Jesus was right; we are always more blessed to give than receive. No matter your giftedness, you can find a place to serve the Lord and love your neighbor here!
